Brittany and Abby Hensel, who live in Minnesota, were recently spotted out on an errand in a rare public appearance. According to TMZ, the sisters, who are cojoined twins, were seen with a baby as they got into their car in a parking lot.
The pair of sisters rose to fame as children, with their appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show back in 1996. Later, Brittany and Abby Hensel got their own reality TV show on TLC, titled "Abby and Brittany," which threw light on their day-to-day lives as conjoined twins and later also documented how the sisters managed college life.
More about Brittany and Abby Hensel
Brittany and her sister, Abby Hensel, were spotted in a parking lot in Arden Hills, a small town in Minnesota. In the pictures which were published earlier this week, on August 14, the sisters, who are from the quaint town just fifteen minutes from Minneapolis, were seen carrying a baby in a car seat. In some of the other snapshots, the pair was seen carefully securing the car seat in their black Tesla before driving off.
This outing marks their first public appearance since the news of Abby Hensel's wedding to US Army veteran Josh Bowling was revealed in March 2024. According to People Magazine, while not much is known about how Abby Hensel and Josh Bowling met, the couple tied the knot in 2021 in a private ceremony attended by their closest friends and family. At the time of their marriage, the couple was already raising another child from Josh Bowling's previous relationship.
According to People Magazine, Abby and her sister Brittany share all organs below the waist, but have separate hearts. Abby has control of the right side of their body, while Brittany controls the left. According to ABC News, in their appearance on their show, "Abby and Brittany," which ran on TLC for one season, the pair said:
"People have been curious about us since we were born, for obvious reasons. But our parents never let us use that as an excuse. We were raised to believe we could do anything we wanted to do. The most amazing thing about us is we are like everyone else."
Neither of the sisters has confirmed if either of them has welcomed a child, although both of them had previously expressed their desire to become a mother someday. In their appearance on "Joined for Life: Abby & Brittany Turn 16," Brittany Helson said:
"We're going to be moms. We haven't thought about how being moms is going to work yet."
Abby Hensel and her sister, Brittany, now work as fifth-grade teachers at a local elementary school and lead a private life away from the spotlight.
