Actor Terence Stamp, most notably known for playing General Zod in Superman, died at the age of 87 on Sunday. While the cause of his death is unknown, Stamp's family announced the actor's tragic passing in a statement that reads as follows:

The film follows two drag queens (Hugo Weaving and Guy Pearce) and Bassenger as they embark on an adventure in the tour bus Priscilla across the Australian outback. The film featured many of the group's adventures as they performed their unique style of cabaret.

Stamp was widely appreciated for his lead role in the film, which also earned him a BAFTA and a Golden Globe Award nominations.


2) Smallville

Alfred Gough and Miles Millar's American superhero television series Smallville is one of Terence Stamp's most notable roles on the small screen. He voiced the character of Jor-El, Superman's biological father and one of the leading scientists on the planet Krypton.
