The film was shot in the state of Oregon, US, in the cities of Portland and Gresham. Oregon has a variety of landforms and water bodies, including the Cascade range and the Pacific coastline. 1) Gresham, Oregon
In the city of Gresham, the campus of Mt. Hood Community College was a filming location. In the film, the college is passed off as the school where Lynette's brother Kenny used to go.
The architecture of the building and its exteriors add to the moods that film wants to capture. The college is located at 26000 SE Stark St, Gresham.

2) Portland, Oregon
Since Night Always Comes tells the story of a night, most of the shots are noctural. As reported by The Cinema Holic, actual locations across the city of Portland were used in the filming. Vanessa Kirby's Lynette is employed at a bar. So, an actual bar named Belmont Inn was used for the filming. It is located at 3357 SE Belmont St, Portland.
Popular spots of the city included in the film include the restaurants Stan’s Food and Deli, and My Father’s Place, besides a boutique named Really Good Stuff.
Other than these shots, the city of Portland has been beautifully explored. The cinematography captures the city in sync with the emotions inherent in the storytelling. Public structures including bridges were also incorporated, such as Broadway, Hawthorne, Burnside and Morrison Bridge.
