Manitoba, Canada

Nobody 2 follows Hutch Mansell going for a family trip to Plummerville, Arkansas. However, the shooting took place mostly in the province of Manitoba, Canada. The natural landscape of the province convincingly stood in for Plummerville, making it difficult for viewers to tell the difference. The team shot extensively in Winnipeg, which is the capital city of Manitoba.

Winnipeg Beach

Several key scenes were filmed over three days at Winnipeg Beach. A carnival scene was set up in that area, which included stalls, swings, and rides, among other things. The gaming arcade scenes were shot elsewhere and were later merged during editing.

Lilac Resort, which is situated at Lilac Lane of Ste. Anne, was also a pivotal location for filming a scene. An action sequence on a boat was shot at the Redboine Boat Club, which is situated at 20 Churchill Drive. One scene was also filmed at a Pritchard Farm at 1 Old Orchard Road.

In an interview with CTV News, Odenkirk spoke about his experience of shooting in Winnipeg. He said,

“It has some really beautiful neighbourhoods… It has a river running through it. It’s sort of a lazy river. I liked it. I liked it in the same way I liked Albuquerque, which is that it takes a little while to get to know it. You have your favourite places, and the people are awesome.”
