On General Hospital, Ned Quartermaine and Olivia Falconeri have been married for eight years, which is a long time compared to the typical soap couple. Ned and Olivia were wed onscreen July 7, 2017.

Their portrayers, Wally Kurth and Lisa LoCicero, did a little reminiscing this week when their fans posted a video of their characters when they were first dating.

The Instagram account nivfansgh, which is a fan site of Ned and Olivia as a couple, posted a scene of their first date this week.

LoCicero shared the reel on her Instagram Stories and "liked" the full Instagram post.

Kurth "liked" the post as well and commented on it, “I always thought our courtship was fun.”

The clip, from 2014, shows Ned and Olivia having drinks at The Floating Rib after going to the movie Guardians of the Galaxy. Movies were a running theme throughout their courtship. They joked around in the clip because Olivia had accidentally kept the 3D glasses from the movie theater. They then debated over their tastes in movies and talked a lot about 1980s flicks, including Red Dawn (they discussed Patrick Swayze) and Gremlins.

At times, the conversation turned serious. Olivia referenced Lulu Falconeri (then Emme Rylan) starting fertility treatments, a subplot relevant to current events as General Hospital is revisiting the circumstances surrounding Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) giving birth to Lulu and Dante’s son Rocco (Finn Carr).

They talked about their past with Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer), Olivia’s longtime friend from Bensonhurst and Ned’s ex-wife, with Olivia sharing stories of going to the movies with her and Ned sharing how Lois had taken him to the same theater.

They then brought up one of the more scandalous stories from Ned’s past, when he had a brief relationship with his aunt Monica (Leslie Charleson) before they knew they were related by marriage.

“We were both consenting adults,” Ned said in the General Hospital scene. “I grew up in a boarding school and I never went home, and then when I graduated high school I decided to strike out on my own. So I started working as a tennis club as an instructor. And I met an older woman.” Olivia added, “Then one thing led to another.”

Ned philosophized, “It’s ironic. In an attempt to break away from my family, I ended up taking a path that led me right back to them.” Olivia said that was a good thing because he never would have met Lois if that hadn’t happened.

Ned and Olivia got married on July 7, 2017, and years later, Ned adopted her son Leo (Easton Rocket Sweda), whose father is the late Julian Jerome (William deVry). The nivfansgh account recently shared a wedding photo of the couple, and LoCicero commented, "Awww.. my tv hubby.. good men like Ned are hard to find!!"

Ned and Olivia have a shared grandson on General Hospital in Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza), who was revealed this spring to be the son of Ned’s daughter Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Olivia’s son Dante (Dominic Zamprogna).

Kurth is set to appear at the General Hospital Fan Club Weekend August 1, playing with his musical group The Day Players with Days of Our Lives co-stars Carson Boatman, Eric Martsolf and Brandon Barash.

LoCicero has been busy filming an independent movie Beginning Tomorrow, in which she stars with former General Hospital actor Jamison Jones, who wrote the script.

She recently posted a behind-the-scenes video from Day 8 of filming, showing clips of an outdoor set with a picturesque view of Los Angeles in the background, set to a classic by The Beatles, “Good Day Sunshine.”

deVry, who is currently filming a movie called Spill, commented on the post, “That’s what I’m talking about.”

The Instagram user blocksy commented, “You look great! That’s a lovely color for you.” Another user, onefabulousmom, said, “Why are you so adorable?”
