Lewis Capaldi recently shared his experience of meeting Canadian singer Justin Bieber. During an episode of Capital FM’s interview with Chris Stark, the 28-year-old Someone You Loved hitmaker recalled encountering Justin at a party in Los Angeles.
“I went to this party, it was amazing. Famous people were there. Charlie XCX was there. Justin Biener was there.”
Initially, Lewis Capaldi thought Justin Bieber did not know who he was, and was pleasantly surprised when Bieber proved him wrong.
“Bieber comes over to me and he’s like, 'Hey man, what’s going on?' And I’m like, 'You don’t know who I am, you don’t know my name?’ And he’s like, ‘Of course I do — it’s Lewis Capaldi’ and me and Bieber have this super night, this really lovely evening together... we hang out and I'm like, 'Me and the Biebs are going to be best pals; this is huge.'”
Lewis mentioned that he had a fun evening with the singer and wanted to thank the Canadian star through a text. He sent a direct message to Bieber, but only got a like and hasn't receive a response since.
“Just wanted to jump on bro and say last night was so special, great guy, so nice to hang with you, such a dude,' all this stuff,” he said.
He jokingly made a shoutout to Justin, asking him to reply to his message.
“So if you’re out there, Bieber, wherever you are, text me back, please.”

In the interview, Lewis spoke about his excitement about returning to music two years after his unexpected hiatus from music. The Scottish singer went on a self-imposed break after the Glastonbury Festival incident; he needed the break to care for his physical and mental health.
“Definitely taking two years off really clears the pipes. You know what I mean. I just feel this buzz, this enthusiasm for everything I'm doing. Like excited and proud.”
He added that he did a lot of growing during the hiatus and was getting better.
