Maroon 5 and Lil Wayne's latest track, Love Is Like, has debuted at #191 on global Spotify, much to the amusement of fans.

Love is Like is also a part of the band's LP of the same name, which came out just today. The band shared an accompanying music video, which, according to Rolling Stone, was directed by Aerin Moreno on the streets of NYC. Lil Wayne was tapped for the song halfway through, and in the music video, he can be seen performing from the inside of a smoke-filled limousine.

News that the track debuted with 1.17M plays on the music-streaming app has made its way to X, where fans are reacting with a mix of confusion and amusement. Here's how one user reacted, for instance:

"That’s quite poor ngl… seems like both artists a way behind their good days"

The comments didn't end there:

"Maroon 5 downfall needs to be studied," one fan suggested.
"craziest part is they really had the 2000s in a chokehold. nobody touched them," someone else pointed out.
"#191 debut on global Spotify with over 1.1 million plays is a solid start, even if the climb has just begun. Maroon 5 and Lil Wayne make their mark," another cheered the band on.
"Not bad for a debut—curious to see if it climbs higher in the charts," a fourth user weighed in.

See how the rest of the microblogging platform is reacting:

"Two of my favs...leaning towards Wayne a bit more but awesome collab," one user quipped.
"an unusual tandem, but it sounds fresh and catchy," someone else opined.
"Surprised it's not higher with those two names. The visuals are striking though - classic Maroon 5 style," another weighed in.
"Coming back after listening.. dang, Maroon 5 has evolved and I loved it. lol Wayne putting out summer vibes for real!" yet another exclaimed.

Users were visibly confused about the song's success, with many pointing out that it should have been higher, given its makers' prolific names.

Everything we know about Maroon 5's latest LP:

In the music video, the band's frontman, Adam Levine, 46, can be heard singing:

"I'm hallucinating, you got me seeing things. I see you in my future, baby, you're intoxicating."

As for the album of the same name, it also features tracks like All Night, California, Priceless, Hideaway, Yes I Did, Burn Burn Burn, Jealousy Problems, My Love, and I Like It. Alongside Lil Wayne, the LP also features collaborations with Lisa and Sexyy Red.

Levine announced the debut of his band via a video on his Instagram on Friday:

"Hey! I'm from Maroon 5. I'm Adam. Our album, Love is Like, is out now," he said in the video. Stream it, buy it, steal it."

According to Rolling Stone, he said in a statement:

"I feel like we've gone back to what we used to do, which is to not pay attention to where we fit and producing the music organically. This is kind of how we stuck out in the beginning when we first started our career."
