Who was Kseniya Alexandrova married to? Russian model and Miss Universe 2017 contestant dies at 30, weeks after a car accident

Russian model Kseniya Alexandrova tragically lost her life on August 12 following a car mishap. The car mishap took place in July 2025 in the Tver region. She was travelling with her husband, Ilya, whom she married on March 22, 2025.

According to a report by Us Weekly, an elk came into the road and broke through the windshield of the car. As a result of this, she hurt her head.

Ilya was reportedly not injured in the accident, but Kseniya Alexandrova was taken to a hospital where she was kept in an ICU. Modus Vivendis, the agency that represented her, shared a statement on Instagram. As seen in the translated post, the agency wrote:

“It is with deep sorrow that we announce that our colleague and friend, model Kseniya Alexandrova, passed away last night. Kseniya was bright, talented and extraordinarily bright. She knew how to inspire, support and give warmth to everyone around her. For us she will forever remain a symbol of beauty, kindness and inner strength.”

The statement went on:

“We sincerely mourn and express our deepest condolences to her family, friends and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing Kseniya. A bright memory.”

Kseniya came second in the 2017 Miss Russia pageant. The same year, she also participated in Miss Universe, where she was the face of Russia. The model was 30 at the time of her death.

Miss Universe organization and Anna Linnikova pay tribute to Kseniya Alexandrova

After Kseniya Alexandrova’s death, the Miss Universe organization published an Instagram post. They mentioned that her work and values left a great impact on the Miss Universe family. They also hoped that her memory would continue to inspire people to be loving, kind, and strong. The post also had a voiceover in Kseniya’s voice in which she said:

“I want all people around the world to believe in themselves and to always have a dream. We should be strong and believe in ourselves and never give up on our dreams. In this world everything is possible and nothing is impossible.”

According to The Sun, Russian model Anna Linnikova looked back on Kseniya’s death and said that Kseniya Alexandrova had just gotten married, started her new life, and was very happy. She shared that this was a reminder for everyone to value every moment in life because no one can know when something might happen that could take away loved ones.

Sharing photos from her wedding on Instagram, Kseniya Alexandrova wrote a heartwarming caption:

“I never thought that one event could sound inside for so long. I remember every second and it seems that I am still experiencing the whirlwind of emotions :) There was so much love, joy and sincere feelings on this day that the heart is still full of them.”

On August 15, VNExpress published a report mentioning that the road the couple was travelling on was being constructed. Moreover, there were no fences to prevent the animals from coming onto the main road.
