Zoë Kravitz has recently shared an anecdote about losing her pet snake, Orpheus, at Taylor Swift’s house.
The incident happened when she was staying at the Blank Space singer’s place along with her mom, Lisa Bonet, during the L.A. wildfires earlier this year, according to a report in E! News.
Revealing the story on her August 12, 2025, appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Kravitz said that when it was the last day and she was about to leave for her work, her mom called her up to the bathroom and told her that Orpheus had escaped after she put her down for a moment.
Kravitz panicked and rushed upstairs and saw that the snake had “found this little hole in the corner." Kravitz recalled calling up the house manager for help, who, with the help of a crowbar, pulled out the snake but it destroyed Swift's bathroom. She remembered telling the manager not to inform Taylor Swift, saying
"‘Obviously, I'm gonna pay for everything to be fixed. Please just don't say anything until it's fixed.’”
She later said that when she called up Swift to tell about everything, Swift already knew beforehand and it became a funny moment for both of them.
