MGM+'s sci-fi horror series From Season 3, starring Harold Perrineau and Catalina Sandino Moreno, debuted in September 2024. Tabitha Mathews' journey in From has been nothing short of a rollercoaster of dread, mystery, and fleeting hope.

After seemingly breaking free from the cursed town at the end of Season 2, many thought that the nightmare was over. But From Season 3 Episode 3 dropped a twist which pulled her right back into the sinister grip, and this time with four new individuals.

An unfateful accident and an ambulance ride later, Tabitha found herself facing a turn in life she never saw coming. Yes, she was back in the haunted town and this time with Henry (Victor's father), two EMT's and a cop.

From Season 3: How Tabitha Mathews' story took a dark turn?

At the end of From Season 2, Tabitha's harrowing trek from the faraway tree portals led her to the enigmatic lighthouse location hinted at as the exit. Inside, she confronted the Boy in White, who cryptically told her that there was only one way out before physically pushing her from the tower. She awoke in a hospital bed in Camden, Maine-Victor's real-world hometown. For the first time, it looked like someone had escaped the haunted town for once.

But From Season 3 revealed that freedom wasn't as simple as it looked. In Camden, Tabitha met Henry, Victor's father, and began piecing together eerie parallels between the outside world and the town she left behind. A key link emerged in Miranda's (Victor's mother) artwork-bottle trees that mirrored the town's portal. Henry offered to take her to a real-life version of the bottle tree, a scene that changed the narrative entirely.

While heading towards the bottle tree with Henry in Episode 3, fate or something darker intervened. A sudden car accident forced them into an ambulance with two paramedics and a cop. The road ahead was blocked by a massive fallen tree. For loyal fans, it was no ordinary obstruction. The fallen tree represented the town's trap, exactly visual the Mathews family saw it before they arrived in the haunted town in Season 1.

Tabitha's panic made it clear: this wasn't a coincidence. She had somehow crossed back into the haunted town.

Tabitha's return to the haunted town in From Season 3 left the viewers with several questions, including: What was Miranda's link to the haunted town? Why was Tabitha pulled back into the haunted town after escaping?

For Tabitha, the town had become the ultimate Hotel California- 'you could check out any time you like, but you can never leave.'
