Molly Shannon joins Will Ferrell in Netflix’s new golf comedy show
As per Deadline, the untitled Netflix project had Josh Rabinowitz and Golden-Globe Winner, Ramy Youssef, as co-creators along with Ferrel, but had to leave the show due to creative differences.
Later, Ferrell was joined by David Gordon Green, Chris Henchy, Andrew Guest, Harper Steele, as executive producers for the show, along with Rian Johnson and Jessica Elbaum, among others.
This is not the first time you’ll see Ferrell and Molly Shannon together on screen, as these two veteran actors are SNL alums who joined the comedy sketch show in 1995. They have appeared in numerous sketches together with St. Monica’s High School Talent Auditions and Dog Show, being among the most popular ones.
Other than SNL, Shannon has been a frequent collaborator with Ferrell in several other works, such as Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Superstar, in which Shannon appeared as one of her popular SNL characters, Mary Katherine Gallagher, and A Night at the Roxbury.
Shannon also appeared in Ferrell’s documentary Will & Harper, which also starred Harper Steele, an executive producer of this Netflix TV show.
Apart from this, not much about the plot or a release date has been revealed yet.
