NBC has recently come up with a new docuseries, Survival Mode, in collaboration with the team of their other hit show, Dateline. Just as Dateline tracks down crimes that shock not just a few, but an entire nation, this new series solely focuses on real-life disasters.
It highlights some of the most haunting disasters that could have resulted in a worst-case scenario for people. What makes this docuseries different is that it allows the survivors to share their experience, instead of presenting them from an outsider's view.
This way, the viewers get a deeper dive into what these survivors actually went through, and they are really over that traumatic experience. So far, NBC has released six episodes, each following a new real-life disaster.
Survival Mode Episode 7 is scheduled to be released on NBC on August 18, 2025, at 10:00 PM ET (9:00 PM CT). This will be part of the show’s first season, which began on July 7, 2025.
Survival Mode Episode 7: Everything to know
