The main leads of the show are Jennifer Aniston as Rachel Green, Courteney Cox as Monica Geller, Lisa Kudrow as Phoebe, Matt LeBlanc as Joey Tribbiani, Matthew Perry as Chandler Bing, and David Schwimmer as Ross Geller. The story of Friends portrays the importance of friendship, family, love, career, and intimacy, among other life experiences in one's life.

David Crane and Marta Kauffman created the show. It aired on NBC from September 22, 1994, to May 6, 2004, lasting for 10 seasons with 236 episodes.

What is the storyline of Friends?

The characters' individual and group quests for intimacy, commitment, and purpose are at the center of the show. Due to the friends' diverse personalities and flaws, there are plenty of humorous moments and wide audience identification.

At the start of the show, Courteney Cox plays Monica Geller, a cook who frequently switches jobs and partners in an attempt to find the right one. By the end of the series, Ross (David Schwimmer), her brother, has been divorced three times and has a child. He works as a paleontologist. He has had a long-term crush on Jennifer Aniston's character Rachel Green, a stylish woman from an affluent family who works (for a while) as a barista at Central Perk, a café and gathering place for the gang. She eventually gets hired by Ralph Lauren.

Lisa Kudrow plays Phoebe Buffay, a ditsy masseuse and aspiring singer with an eccentric take on life. The largely unsuccessful actor and buffoon Joey Tribbiani (played by Matt LeBlanc) frequently confides in his close friend Chandler Bing (played by Matthew Perry), a wealthy statistics and data analyst who has a bad luck record with women and eventually grows fond of Monica. The pals live together or separated in various combinations throughout the series.
