Mothers make the world go around and our favorite daytime performers didn't forget that fact this past Mother's Day. From paying tribute to their own moms, the moms of their kids, or the joy they find in being a mom, enjoy some fun and tender tributes from the soap opera world.
Brand-new mom Kristen Alderson (ex-Starr Manning, One Life to Live and General Hospital), who we watched grow up on screen, shared sweet photos and videos of her own mom with her daughter, Kiera, who was born in January.
"Mom, we've always been inseparable and I always said 'I love you more' after you would say I love you. You would say 'absolutely no way you love me more, just wait until you have your kids.' And now I get it," Alderson wrote on Instagram. "I've never felt a love as deep as my love for Kiera, but I can only hope and pray that Kiera loves me half as much as how much I love you! Watching you being the most amazing Ganny has given me a glimpse of how incredible you were with me as an infant, you're simple the BEST! Taylor was working a lot in the beginning months of Kiera, and my mom stepped in as my partner and we had the best time. Thank you so much for opening the house for us to move in and for showering all of us with so much love and light and happiness! It's been the most amazing experience getting to raise Kiera with you. One of these videos are my mom rocking Kiera singing a song to her that she always sang to me, and that was simply one of the highlights of my life. I love you beyond. You are everything. Happy Mother's Day."
Another first-time mom, Camryn Grimes (Mariah, The Young and the Restless), who we also watched grow up before our eyes, honored her son Bridger, and her own mom.
"My son made me a Mom, but on this my very First Mother's Day it's important I acknowledge everyone who taught me to be a mother.," Grimes said. "Everyone who led by example and held my hand up to starting line of my own journey into this new life. So whether it's your 56th Mothers Day or your very First, I hope its whatever kind of day you want because you deserve it. Thank you to all the Moms in my life, I love you endlessly."
First-time dad Chad Duell (Michael, GH) honored both his mom and the mother of his young son, Dawson.
"Happy Mother's Day to these 2 amazing moms," he wrote. "Thank you mom for love, the hard work, and dedication to raising us crazy kids. Thanks Luana for you love and passion in raising Dawson.. he's growing up to be such a bright light. Llove yall!"
Y&R star Lauralee Bell paid tribute to her mom, Lee Philip Bell, who co-created The Bold and the Beautiful with Bell's dad, Bill Bell.
"Happy Mother's Day to all!" she said. "Wishing you a wonderful day that celebrates all you do!
Happy Heavenly Mother's Day to my Pal in heaven! I know how lucky I was to be guided by this angel ... who was kind, hardworking, positive, genuine, appreciative, loving and strong! Today and every day I celebrate you Mom!!"
GH's Michael Easton shared his first-ever Instagram Mother's Day post as he is new to the social media platform. However, he wasn't going to let the holiday pass without a shoutout to the mother of his two children, Lilah and Jack.
"A mother is the purest form of love you'll ever know. I'm lucky to be married to one of the best. I love you sweetheart. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there that make our lives better every day."
Michelle Stafford (Phyllis, Y&R), who recently lost her stepfather, paid tribute to the greatest woman in her life, her mom, even though she knew she'd never see the message.
"A mother is the purest form of love you'll ever know," she wrote. "I'm lucky to be married to one of the best. I love you sweetheart. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there that make our lives better everyday."
Days of our Lives icon Deidre Hall honored both her mom and her two grown sons in separate posts.
"When it comes to parenting, it's important to learn from the best," Hall wrote of the mom who raised her and her twin sister, Andrea (ex-Hattie Adams and Samantha Evans, DAYS). "I still remember her examples of decency, kindness, patience and empathy."
Hall also posted an old vacation photo of herself and her sons, David and Tully, when they were young, sharing that it was one of her favorites.
