On The Young and the Restless, Sean Dominic’s character, Nate Hastings Jr. hasn’t had much to be happy about lately — but the actor himself has a very personal reason to celebrate.
Sean Dominic of The Young and the Restless
Sean Dominic has been playing Y&R’s Nate Hastings, Jr. after taking over the role in 2019, although fans will also recognize him as Jabari on Greenleaf on Netflix.
The actor has had a busy year, traveling internationally to places like Canada and Monte Carlo. Dominic donated his time by joining friends and his The Young and the Restless costars, Christian LeBlanc (Michael Baldwin), Bryton James (Devon Winters), Mishael Morgan (Amanda Sinclair), and Conner Floyd (Chance Chancellor) in Toronto. There, the group joined fellow Y&R star Kate Linder (Esther Valentine) for her charity event for cancer survivors.
Dominic also traveled to Monte Carlo to be a presenter at the Golden Nymph Awards at the 64th Monte-Carlo Television Festival. He was joined by costar Courtney Hope (Sally Spectra), as well as Heather Tom (Katie Logan, B&B) and Lawrence Saint-Victor (Carter Walton, B&B) from the Y&R sister show, The Bold and the Beautiful.
Nate Hastings on The Young and the Restless
On Y&R, Dominic’s character isn’t having a great week, let alone month. Nate was contacted last winter by a woman named Amy Lewis (Valarie Pettiford), who wound up being the ex-girlfriend of Nate’s deceased father, Nathan Hastings Sr., and the mother of his half-brother, Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers) — a brother that until then, Nate never knew existed.
Nate was just getting to know his brother better when Damian was invited to attend a private party in the French Riviera. There, Damian was murdered.
But Nate’s grief is becoming overshadowed by his own support system. His girlfriend, Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) isn’t the most popular woman in town as she is known for her manipulative and cunning tactics in the business world, and personally. Although Nate has been able to connect with her more vulnerable side, she is once again deceiving — this time to Nate.
While Audra was also in France at the estate party, she was in cahoots with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to break up Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) and her boyfriend Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Things went too far between Audra and Kyle — and it’s still going on. Nate will suspect Audra this week, and be devastated by the truth.
But there’s some light at the end of the tunnel for our dashing Nate Hastings. He has recently reconnected with his ex-girlfriend and colleague, Victoria Newman. Is a new romance in the cards for Nate?
Soap Central would like to wish Sean Dominic a very happy birthday, and we look forward to seeing more of Nate Hastings on Y&R!
